Re: DIVISION TWO THREAD
Ok, if Derby's run is anything to go by we still havn't actually won a game since we played you last year!
3 pre-season games lost 6-1, 3-1 and drew 2-2
Eastwood does like the odd moan, but he's alright. He thinks you'll beat us.

Re: DIVISION TWO THREAD
lol i hope we wont be like derby this year!!
we didnt have a pre season last year but the squad a lot stronger to be honest this time compared to last year!!
To be honest we got two tough fixtures at the start we got a team whos new to the league in the cup always difficult to play the unknown!!
Then on the 6th sept we got BS4 at frys thank goodness (sorry no offence iv been to your pitch twice its tiny and they have no lines i should know as i was up there vs nailsea (think you may have mouthed of at me for getting the ball lol )!! although the cones were at a slant!! lol!
EOD your going to get a win sooner rather than later so you are going to beat a team whether its us or another team etc!! plus its the 1st game of the season your going to be very up for it!!
Will see as i dont make predicions!!

That's got to be a record?
Also, didn't you play for Rock for part of a season a few years back? I seem to remember playing against you wearing Blue & Black stripes.

Never played for Rock, although we (old Counterslip) may have had a pre season friendly against Thornbury where we borrowed some Rock players to make up the side.

Re: DIVISION TWO THREAD
So two games gone a bit of shape forming how are the teams doing in division 2. So far Hillfields are pants and nowhere near what was expected, bottom with -16 goal difference in this league is shocking. Gordano have lost both of theirs too but narrowly lost 1-0 to Widcombe last weekend. The interesting point to make is that The Sanctuary are the only team with two wins from two. Already other teams have dropped points. SAS gave away a three goal lead to draw 5-5 with C3. Israel lost to Rock (who have only played 1 game) Welton, Hayhill, Kensington, Pistols and BS4 have all dropped points although BS4 have four points from 6, which is 4 points more that the whole of last season which is awesome stuff. It looks like The Sanctuary and SAS will be right up there with Rock hot on their heels. I am hoping our season isn’t over before it has even started but we have a lot of catching up to do both on the pitch and in the league table Christy and Nick will be making their first competitive starts for us this sat which we hope will be springboard for success.
The Sanctuary have been the surprise team for me, as I did not see them improving too much but they are looking very tasty with some good additions. Rock will be up there with SAS as expected. We are not in the hunt yet. Widcombe and Welton seem to have started slow but have 4 points which is a good start and according to NathSAS C3 are looking tasty. Israel look like they will be tough to beat and BS4 may be the surprise package of the season. Hayhill will improve as the season goes on and they gel together. I think the Pistols and Gordano may struggle hopefully we won’t be joining them, but until we get that first win under our belts it’s gonna be tough to get out of this ruck. Looks like the league may end up being a points sharing fest like last year assuming some teams are gonna take points from Sanctuary and Rock.
Current positions
1 Sanctuary 6
2 SAS 4
3 Welton 4
4 BS4 4
5 Widcombe 4
6 Rock 3
7 Israel 3
8 C3 1
9 Hayhill 1
10 Kensington 0
11 Pistols 0
12 Gordano 0
13 Hillfields 0
Best wishes and prayers to Jed and Bruce.
