Re: The Premiership thread
Disgraceful decision in my opinion. One rule for one (the haves) and one rule for another (the have nots).
What grounds were there for the decision? (Probably the threat from Chelsea that he wouldn't be available for the next England game!)

Exactly, referees get off with dodgy decisions too often.

Not even a yellow card I don't think.
Not sure what you are on about Gooner - Guthrie got sent off didn't he? Could get a longer ban and quite rightly so.

My point being that some of you are referring to Terry's challenge as though it was GBH!!... it wasn't that bad, I don't like Terry but even I can see it was nothing like a rugby challenge!!

My point thouh was that it was at least a yellow card offence, now he's got away with nothing. Are you saying that this wasn't a yellow card offence? If you can't downgrade from a red to a yellow as the FA seem to have said, then surely the red has to stand as it was closer to a red card than no punishment at all in my opinion. How many times have we seen 'smaller clubs' appeal after their man was wrongly sent off for deliberate handball/professional foul, and the FA have decided not to rescind it???

I didn't know he got off without even a yellow!!.. that is dumb.. and I agree it's closer to a red than nothing at all.. I hope that the decision wasn't based on who he was, but I guess that's hoping for too much...
Anyway, Spurs?? ...at least you have competition this season from Newcastle in the laughing stock department!
