Surprise surprise, Cahill has lost his appeal aginst his red card at the weekend. Would it be the same outcome if he played for Chelsea, Utd, Liverpool or the other 'top 4' club???

His follow through wasn't pretty. Too hard to call wether or not it should have been a red.

Not too much of a surprise. I thought it was a borderline yellow/red for the challenge. Apparently there's a camera angle where you can see exactly what he's saying to the ref afterwards as well, so he could easily have picked up two yellows anyway (although that would obviously have meant only a one game ban).

I still think Terry's challenge under the wording of the law wasn't deserving of a red card. It does suck that he didn't even get a yellow for it in the end though.

Precisely how would you do that Beano? Its either a red card and 3 match ban or no red card and no ban. The only way you get a 1 match ban is for 2 yellows.

Exactly. You can't change the rules as and when you feel like it. Unless you're Chelsea.

TBJF I don't think Cahill can feel hard done by. It wasn't a pretty challenge and it's that sort of tackle that everyone is trying to rid the game of.
