That is the difference between being good and being champions. Liverpool are winning games and turning round results they usually would have lost. Liverpool of last season would have lost to Man City and Boro and possibly drawn against Sunderland they are picking up the points they usually drop and that is why they are up there. Next job is to sustain that for the whole season.

Disagree slightly. We don't usually lose those games, we draw them which was our problem last year. We lost less games than United yet still finished 11 points behind.

Re: The Premiership thread

Personally I think that the Uniteds and Chelseas don't get themselves in the situations that Liverpool do so often because they are better and more consistent. Yes fair play to Liverpool for their comebacks this season but sometime their luck will not run for them. You don't often see United and Chelsea 2-0 down.

For what its worth I think Liverpool are closer to challenging and I think Rafa realises he can't rotate so often, but still think you'll be at least 5-6 points off the top spot come May.

Agree. Rafa has hardly changed the team this year, Gerrard and Torres have played every game when fit, last season Torres was on the bench for 2 of the early games against Birmingham and Pompey.

I'd be happy with 5/6 points off top, cut last years deficit by half for the 2nd year running. 06/07 21 points behind, 07/08 11 points behind.

Did anyone see Richardson's free kick for Sunderland and Fuller's penalty for Stoke, hilarious!
