Crofty...

I don't think your Liverpool suggestion is terrible as they have some very good players however I do think they will be pipped to the post by Man Utd or Chelsea.

Also, I like your optimism for my beloved Newcastle although I think 9th is a bit far fetched for us this year. We are pretty awful and I am still awaiting the signing of a top defender (i've been waiting for 9 years with the exception of Jonathan Woodgate who we went on to sell anyway!!!) which doesn't include Collocini or Bassong (who looks quite good but will need a bit of time).

However, I don't think there is a chance in hell that Man City will finish 5th and although I hate Villa more than most teams they will not finish as low as 13th!

Bolton is a good shout to go down though mate and am pleased you've got West Brom avoiding the drop!

I don't think that's such a bad shout actually. They've lost a couple of key players (Bentley and Friedel) and don't seem to have signed anyone of note, apart from Robbie Fowler.... emoticon

i think we'll struggle to get anywhere near 7th like last season, but relegation is ridiculous, there are so many bad teams in the premier league that we're safe by default.

not signed anyone of note? paul robinson, danny simpson, carlos villanueva, it's an illustrious list emoticon

we're tying up a deal for a guy called anthony annan who played the makalele role for ghana in the african nations behind essien and muntari and looked the business.

he could be another steal and see ince follow in mark hughes' footsteps of unearthing quality players no-one has heard of

villanueva is chilean player of the year and could be a star this year (fingers crossed!)

check out these videos, if he can replicate this it'd be awesome, obviously it's only training and selected highlights, and he'll take time to settle, but i've got high hopes for him. plus villanueva will look great on the back of my shirt!

villanueva training goal

villanueva highlights

in other words, blackburn will not go down.

(i realise ash was on a windup, but thought i'd take the opportunity to fill you all in on blackburns summer dealings!)

Forgot about Robinson, who I think will prove to be a good replacement for Friedel actually. Still not sure about Blackburn though. A couple of unproven players (in the Prem) and another one to come. We'll have to see. You might be getting excited about that Chilean chap, but I can remember us signing another top-rated Chilean - Mark Gonzalez - and look what happened there.

Ince has done well in the market but I personally think you lack class at the back. Robinson is a great signing and the fresh start will do him the world of good.

Agreed with the windup comment. Blackburn will not go down.

Ronaldo staying at United

emoticon Think this puts United as favourites for the league now. It's inevitable that he'll leave at some point, probably next year.
