Not too sure if the premiership would take kindly to you refusing to play if John Terry moaned at you. emoticon

I'd boot out players like John Terry and Dan Flynn in my first week. Terry lacks pace, everybody knows you can't win the title if you lack pace in the centre of your defence emoticon

Whats there to be disgruntled with Ben? They were never in trouble yesterday and never looked like losing that game. Just because Liverpool are a bit all over the place at times and have to scrape 3-2 wins??

We just make it look more exciting. Besides I'm a Liverpool fan it's my right to moan about United.

Re: The Premiership thread

I was amazed when i read this.

Sure he has gone through a tough period recently, but you cannot just sack a manager this close to the end of the season and expect someone else to walk in a win games.
Does Roman not know this.
I think i read somewhere ferguson didnt win anything with united since he took over in four years! Chelsea i think are expecting too much, and if i was a manager i would never take up the chelsea position due to the stupid pressure it entails.
Did he not loose only five of his games? A record i would be happy with as a manager.

How many players was Scolari able to sign? Deco definitely, Bosingwa maybe (had he already been signed before Scolari took over?) and Quaresma, who's had 1 game. emoticon

Apparently they were also going to go for Eusebio, Luis Figo and Rosa Mota in the summer.

Re: The Premiership thread

I am a little surprised with the Scolari sacking to be honest. I did think they would give him more time but obviously not.

I think they have acted as they have such big games coming up. Currently our only chance of rescueing this season is through the FA Cup and Champions League. We have Watford next and then Villa followed by Juve.

Whoever takes this job seriously needs their head checking over though! They are going to be expected to do well in either the Champs League of the FA Cup or they will be a disappointment.

I can see them appointing someone Grant esque for the remainder of the season and taking it from there.

Personally I would love to see Zola and Clarke in the summer but not sure if they could handle the job just yet, although Zola seems happy to be a 'coach' rather than 'manager' which would help his cause.

I had a cheeky £2 punt on Deschamps at 65-1 emoticon

Di Matteo is 209/1 on Betfair - I can see them putting their faith (gambling) in a young inexperienced manager that the fans want.

Re: The Premiership thread

Nobody has mentioned Denis Wise????? - Now he may be not doing a lot at Newcastle but he is a good manager and a fan favourite. They could do worse!
