I knew they'd win it when they equalised so it was easier to swallow. Fabulous goal by the youngster.

Re: The Premiership thread

I posted my reply at 2-2, a winner was always coming.

I have never heard of Manchedo before but he has a bigger physical presence than Rossi did, so hopefully he'll make the grade. I thought Welbeck looked good when our U21's lost to France, so there's plenty of options for United - I don't see the point in spending £25mil to keep Tevez now.

Man U paid for the youngster to come over from Lazio, and paid for all of his family to move over as well - actually bought them a house! I know this is fairly common for the established young players, but this guy had never played a senior match! Either way, looks worth it now. I just wonder how many times teams have done this for a player who never makes the first team.

Ridiculous that he should have been booked for going over to his dad after scoring. I know he's not technically allowed to (and I know the ref wouldn't have known it was his dad), but surely refs can show a bit of discretion at times like that?

Laws are laws though and if the ref doesn't enforce them then it will be him getting in trouble with the FA. I see your point but the law was bought in because players that run and hug the crowd are encouraging fans to run down the stand and hug them, this could cause a serious crushing incident. Fans will always want to 'touch' their heroes and unfortunately it could end with someone getting hurt.
