Re: The Film thread

Thought it was about time to drag this thread up again (took me about 5 minutes to find it - oh, for a search facility). :livid:

Anyway, has anyone been to see any decent films recently? I'm probably watching Four Christmases on Christmas Eve. What's it like?

Also, anyone seen The Day the Earth Stood Still? I think it looks quite good from the trailers. I'm not actually sure if either film is out yet though, now that I think about it. emoticon

Oh right. I'll check out some reviews then. Thought I might catch another film during the Christmas break. Maybe not this one then.

Re: The Film thread

I never judge a film by reviews that I hear, that's just people's views and doesn't mean that I won't enjoy it. The day the Earth stood still actually looks good in the trailors so I'll be watching it.

I'd trust the views of the general public over a film critic any time.

Yeah, but if everyone is giving a film a bad review, it's probably not very good. I'll wait for Dan to see it and see what he thinks.

Re: The Film thread

A mate of mine say Day The Earth Stood Still and said it was ok. Quamtum of Solace was good for action, but poor plot. Some other friends have seen 4 Christmases and said it was quite good and pretty funny in parts. Also, my gran saw Body of Lies and said it was very good.
