Re: The Film thread

I recently watched The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. It is the story of a baby (Benjamin) who is born with the physical appearance and capabilities of a man in 80's expected to die early he stuns people by aging backwards. It reminded me a little of Forrest Gump. It is rather a long film too at 2 3/4 hrs. I did really enjoy it though.

Wasn't expecting too much from this film, but found I really enjoyed it. Found it funnier than Four Christmasses. If you don't like Jim Carrey though, you might not enjoy it. 8/10

Is it anything like the book tells it?

Emily saw Slumdog Millionaire last night and said it's very good.

Mike, I haven't read the book that Yes Man is based on, so I can't answer your question I'm afraid.

Re: The Film thread

I wanna see slumdog.

I watched Defiance on saturday - new Daniel Craig film about the Bielsky brothers leading a troop of civilians away from the Nazi's laughter of Jews on Poland/Russia. Thought it was excellent. Only slight criticism is Craig's accent falls a couple of times, but it's only a minor niggle.

Role Models is possibly one of the funniest films I've ever seen.
