Re: The Film thread
Watched Derailed last night on BBC One. Starring Jennifer Aniston and Clive Owen it's about 2 married people who start an affair after meeting on a train going to work. Eventually they end up at this seedy looking hotel, they are in a room kissing when someone puts a gun to their heads. He beats up Owen and rapes Aniston. But notices in the meantime that they are having an affair after checking their wallets and finding pics of different partners.
Owen wants to go to the police but Aniston doesn't and says she had an abortion.
The mugger rings Owen and blackmails him of $20,000. Owen pays as he doesn;t want his wife to know. But then they guy visits their house pretending to be a colleague and flirts with Owen's wife. He then demands $100,000.
Owen then decides to track down Aniston who has left her job (she lied about that and her name) and follows her on a train and she's with anothr guy who you presume is her husband. He gets in a taxi and she goes to meet......the guy tht attacked them!!! They start kissing and you realise that it was all a set-up!!! So Owen realises that they are playing this other guy like they did him, so he follows them to the same hotel where they go to the same room. But Owen knocks out the attacker and drags him into the room and eventually Aniston, the attacker, the guy they were setting up and the security guard (X-ibit from Pimp my ride!!) who was in on it all get shot and die. Owen only kills the attacker though and the security guard. He covers his tracks quickly and gets away with it and gets his money back which was left behind.
Was quite a good thriller actually. Great twist in it, loved that. I'd recommend it, but it was a bit dark when the attack happened.

What do you mean Si, there was hardly any detail and plot/story/twist/ending spoliers in that post.

Re: The Film thread
I thought all the text was about your love affair with Fernando Torres was shocked when it was about a film on the film thread, rarely happens with a slip poster posting stuff related to the Thread name

Re: The Film thread
I am watching a few older films at the moment including The Godfather 1 & 2, Both excellent films worth a watch if haven't already seen them. I've always imagined them to be overated, but after having watched them both twice now I can appreciate their popularity and despite not being a great fan of the genre as a whole I thoroughly enjoyed them
Despite both timing in at around the 3 hour mark they also hold out well and don't feel anywhere near that long.
