Why don't you save us all £7 and give a detailed write up of what happens too? emoticon

You didn't have to read it!

As it happens, I'd already seen it. However, why post an entire description of what happens in a film when either (a) the person reading won't have seen it, so you've given away the entire story, or (b) the person reading will have seen it, so you're just telling them what they know. emoticon

Someone who hasn't seen it and probably won't may just want to know what happens.

Re: The Film thread

Went to see Know1ng, good film until the last 20 mins. Great CGI throughout (apart from some of the fire) but a really wierd ending. Spoilt the film a bit which was a shame.

Saw this Lenny last night - I liked it and the ending was very much unexpected and a good twist.

Confused me at first when it went to Rome as I thought it was going for a sliding doors effect of two possible stories but was good a clever.

Re: The Film thread

Some recent films I have seen I know they are a little old:

• Forbidden Kingdom - Jackie Chan, Jet Li – visually a great film and OK story great effects and some decent performances, Jet Li as the Monkey King particularly good.
• The Happening – I Love M.night Shylaman films. Sixth sense “quality”, Unbreakable “decent”, signs “excellent”, Village “clever”, however lady in the water and now the Happening have been quite disappointing, The Happening starts off well but ends up being odd, Idea was good in theory but story and ending are poor.
• The Hulk – Better than the first but not amazing not too sure what they could do to make the hulk any better though to be fair.
• Iron Man – Much better than I expected, very funny and a good story line.
• Hell Boy 2 – Very good a visuals are brilliant, actually think this is better than the first.
• Quantum of Solace – Decent bond film which should be seen as part 2 to Casino Royale.
• Bolt – Good Disney film

I want to see body of lies and changeling which came out on DVD this week any feedback on these?

I was in Sainsbury’s yesterday and noticed a film called Sunday school the musical (the truth), it was a 15 but noticed it was made by some like faith films so I got it as always handy to have Christian material for youth stuff. Watched it yesterday was OK very cheesy and very much a Christian budget movie but some good parts. It only cost £1.99. After watching it through an noticing it wasn’t a 15 I then realised why it was a 15, it had some well scary and bloody trailers on it, do you reckon thats a bit dodgy because people either won’t buy it because it’s a 15 (when its not) or they’ll buy it and then kids will see the nasty trailers – weird!

Re: The Film thread

Crofty, that dvd does indeed sound wierd. Maybe they had to have those trailers because they couldn't afford any others. I agree that people probably won't buy it because of that, which is why the dvds were only £1.99.

Don't see Knowing. Some of it is good, but particularly amazing. In hindsight I'd say it's a DVD one, after a shandy or two. Not too many shandys, or the ending will freak you out, like watching Alice in Wonderland when you've just snorted a kilo of crack.

Re: The Film thread

I also found The Happening rather odd. Mainly because no real explanation was given for why it all happened. I did also find that it went a little downhill as it progressed.
