Hmm. Mamma Mia pain or Kirby pain. It's a lose-lose situation.
The good thing about having a wife who works shifts is that she'll watch it during the day sometime when I'm at work.

Re: The Film thread
I watched a film called Awake last night starring Haydon Christenson and Jessica Alba. It was about a rich guy who was having a Heart Transplant and suffered from Anaesthetic Awareness (put simply, being awake but paralised during an operation) during the op and then heard the doctors plotting to kill him.
It was an ok film, but could and should have been a lot better.

Re: The Film thread
Haven't seen loads of late as there ain't much out. But watched Tropic Thunder last week, Wasn't super funny but did have some lol moments. However I didn't enjoy as much as I would have like as it had swearing all the way through it, and strong swearing too. Wrecks films for me. Bond is out in a month 31st, the only film I am really looking forward to this year.

Re: The Film thread
I saw Tropic Thunder last week too. Much like you Crofty, I enjoyed it and thought is was funny but felt it had been built up to be funnier than it was.
On the other hand, Step Brothers really is Will Ferrell's funniest film since Anchorman. If you like Will Ferrell, you will love this film.

The bit I found really funny was the bit with the land mine. Really shocked me and made me crack up. But only really funny bit.

Yes. Zohan started off really funny but after 10mins turned into an unfunny nasty sex issue film. Was shocking and was disappointed with Sandler as like most of his movies but this was a shocker.

Re: The Film thread
Let us know what you think of Tropic Thunder Eakes. Was thinking of going to see that, but may change my mind now and go for Step Brothers instead based on the above.

Re: The Film thread
Tropic Thunder was quite funny, but I was expecting it to be funnier. Still, glad I saw it.
I've heard from many people Step Brothers is a bit funny to start with, but most of the film isn't that great. Pineapple Express is apparently better.
Next film on my list is Death Race, then Bond.
