That Liverpool performance was reminiscient of George Grahams Arsenal!.. Real Madrid were clueless in the second half but at least they tried to play football

Rafa got it spot on with his tactics.

I remember the days Liverpool were famed for pass & move football, last night was rubbish, couldn't give a stuff about stifling tactics, I wanted to be entertained!

That's why Arsenal haven't won anything for years then.

There is nothing wrong with going to Madrid and stifling them and nicking a 1-0 win.

Actually you're wrong, Man Yoo and Barce play great football and win trophies, Arsenal don't have the finances to spend £30 on players, that is the main difference..

My point with Liverpool is that they aspire to be the best team in England and Europe but when they come up against a big team they do nothing but stifle them and then nick a goal, whereas the likes of Man Yoo and Arsenal will at least try to bring the game to them.. you know that if you were a neutral you'd be saying Liverpool are shi* to watch

On a different point (and a day late) I noticed that the United team on Tuesday contained players from every country in the UK & Ireland. Surely a first in Champs league history.

That's the kind of thing that keeps me going during a busy week.

ALong these lines, the Liverpool line up last night contained more Spanish players than the Real Madrid one. And we think there are too many foreigners in the Premiership....

Inter Milan only had one Italian playing against Man Utd!

Liverpool are boring to watch but if they get results who cares great win at the Bernabeu, but there certainly no Bristol City.

Still won though so doesn't matter how we play! I'd be more than happy for us to play like that and win 1-0 every game.

Re: The Champions League thread

Yet more proof that the Premier League is the best in the world. Such a ridiculous challenge from Heinze! What was he thinking.
Good solid result for Chelsea, I think 1-0 at home is a good result. Any result without giving an away goal is good in my opinion.

Good to see Liverpool get through as would be nice to get them again after we took them to cleaners last season emoticon Laaaaaaaaaampard
