Although surely he should have won a pen? I thought Tevez was incredibly lucky to get away with that.

Bad Night, Chelsea were good, but we were really bad. I might not bother watching the 2nd leg. I might struggle to find somewhere to watch it anyway considering I'm skiing in France all next week. emoticon

Why does everyone think Bayern are so good all of a sudden? They had no-one tidy in their group and beat a poor Sporting in the last round. I expect Barca to sweep them aside easily.

You were saying Nath???

I'm off to watch City tonight. I'm sure there will be more attacking play in that game by the home side compared to your game [Liverpool v Real]. emoticon Have a fun time!

Even the greats get things wrong from time to time Eakes. emoticon In my defence, I would still have predicted Barca to win the tie. I didn't expect them to be 4-0 up at half time though, but then who did? emoticon

Anyway Eakes, sort out the smiley that's gone missing would you? It's the hopping mad one, one of the board's favourites I think.

Re: The Champions League thread

Get the livid one back on, I want to use it.

Bad last night, real bad. Was looking like a great night after 5 minutes but after our goal Chleski settled and played better than us. I won't give up hope yet, freak results do happen, last night for example and our win at Old Trafford, so I don't think Liverpool can be written off just yet, especially because thay are kings at comebacks and kings in Europe.

Was stunned at full time, couldn't believe it.

Lucas looked like he was having a good game for the first 30 mins and then he went to pot. His shooting was awful and he kept getting brushed off the ball so easily. We should have played Spearing instead, he showed what he can do against Madrid.

And I thought the time keeping of the ref last night was really bad. I'm not saying that's why we lost, but he added 1 min on at the end of the 1st half, when we'd had a stoppage for a Chelsea player that was at least 2 minutes. And at the end of the 2nd half, he added 3 minutes when we'd had 4 subs, the Terry/Reina incident which caused a bit of a delay with players arguing and treatment to Terry. And another lengthy stop when Essien went down with what looked like a facial injury. Poor reffing in my eyes, but not an excuse.

Probably a good job he didn't play the extra minutes Dan, you'd have probably lost 4-1. emoticon

The :livid: smiley is up there, its not gone anywhere.

Can we not slate referees on the board please. How many times do people have to be told.
