Not really Ash as even if Liverpool go out, I'm not going to be surprised or livid, I was livid last week.

No Gerrard tonight, not even on the bench and Lucas starts ahead of Riera or Babel emoticon

I've gone from 20% confident to 2% confident.

That was horrible, fair play to the Dippers. Anyone that scores 4 at the Bridge deserves to go through.

I was seriously thinking I would be eating my words and using this :livid

Well well well emoticon

An unbelievable night of football. Can't believe they did that without Gerrard.

Also proves to people like Nathan and Alan Green who said Liverpool had absolutely no chance that they were wrong. Yes we didn't go through as they predicted but we got very very close. Nath will you stop being so pessimistic abouit Liverpool now please?! Just remember how many times we have come back in the past.

Gutted that we came back twice needing 3 goals and were 1 goal away on both occasions, so close.

Alex's free kick was amazing, Essien's clearance was unreal. Was disappointed how we conceded the 3rd goal. Lucas was fouled on the edge of our box but the ref played advantage as Alonso had space to run into but he gave the ball away, and then Aurelio was ahead of Lampard, watched him run past him, looked at him again as Drogba went past Skrtel, but he still didn't try and get back to cover. That was frustrating.

And Lucas scored emoticon

In a way I hope United go through tonightas they'll have another 2 games to play.

Trust Lampard to do absolutely nothing apart from a few misplaced passes and long balls for 75 mins and then score a few goals and grab all the headlines!!

In a sick way, I'm pleased United have gone through. That's 2 more games they've got to play whereas come next week, we've only got 1 game a week. Just aslong as Arsenal beat them though.

Obviously they had a chance, just as they would have had a chance if they had to win by 4 clear goals. Its football - anything can happen.

Don't think it proves many people wrong though - Liverpool were still two goals away from going through and that is quite a significant margin. They didn't really come that close. Was a fantastic game, but think most of the coverage has gone a bit over the top with regards to their coverage of Liverpool's part in it. At the end of the day, all they acheived was a draw away at Chelsea. They've already done better than that this season and people didn't make such a big fuss. Full credit to both teams for the entertainment they put on anyway.

They didn't really come that close?!?!?!

At 0-2 they were 1 goal away from going through.

At 3-4 the were 1 goal away from going through.

I'd say being 1 goal away (on 2 occasions) is pretty close!!

It was a good effort, but nothing more than that. And no, they didn't come that close - they needed to win by two clear goals and they drew. The scoreline at different points in the match is irrelevant - the only important scoreline is the score after 90 minutes.

Don't get me wrong - I wanted Liverpool to win the game ,would be really happy to see them win the league and I thought they put in a good effort last night, but the scoreline doesn't lie. It was just a great game.
