Prayer request

Next Monday Chris BT will be flying out to India with his Dad for 3 weeks, his Dad is on his bi-annual visit to the Delhi Bible Institute in Dehra Dun, to run preaching training conferences, I think it is Chris's first trip.

The reason for the request is that the situation in some parts of India is extremely volatile. Christian Churches have been ransacked and burnt and in some cases Pastors and members of congregations have been murdered. Some of you may already be aware of this. They were hoping to go up to the Punjab for a week speaking, teaching and preaching but that is now very unlikely to happen as Churches there are under police protection because of the attacks There have also been incidents much closer to the DBI.

It would be appreciated if you could find a few moments to Pray for Chris and Rupert over the next 3 weeks, and also Margie, Ruperts wife and other members of the family back home. Also for Serena who became Chris's Fiance last Saturday, I saw her last night and she was understandably a bit anxious.

Many Thanks

Christopher

Re: Prayer request

Will do Chris. But is it wrong of me that when I saw that CBT was away for 3 weeks I scrambled over to the fixtures to see if we were playing Widcombe in the next 3 weeks. emoticon

India is an amazing place - anyone watching any of Paul Merton in India. I went there in 1991 down in the south and absolutely loved it.

In some ways the church there must be doing something right to come under such vicious attacks. The Indian people are an amazing nation. Hope all goes well CBT.

I saw a news report on BBC I think, actually showing Hindus Taking Christian converts and making them turn back to Hinduism was really shocked the BBC showed it as not many news reports show Christians in persecution. Not a great time to go there, will def keep the guys in prayer.

No doubt Eakes will send his mate Sachin a text to keep an eye out for CBT.

Re: Prayer request

Can I also add a request please for one of our Rock players (Cdub) who is having an operation today on an injury sustained against Sanctuary a couple of weeks ago. He had a dislocated collar bone that popped inwards rather than outwards and is sitting dangerously close to his windpipe. Please pray today if you can!! Thanks.

Re: Prayer request

Will do Paul. Ben, perhaps this thread would be a good one to keep as a sticky at the top so people can add prayer requests as and when.
