Absolutely 100% certain. He fell over, so tried to cover it up by doing that pose, and then stood up and saluted. Clearly he was meant to land on his feet and salute. He might have been better off just staying sat down, but standing up afterwards gave it away.
I see your point now. Still think they were incredible though.
