HILLFIELDS 6 A SIDE TOURNAMENT

Hillfields are currently undergoing a building project to build a multipurpose hall next to the current church. Those of you who have played us at home will know our church overlooks the pitch which is great, however we are trying to run a ton of programs in the church hall, from youth clubs, to Luncheon clubs, keep fit, church meetings, toddler groups and dance. So it was decided we needed to expand, so we are now in the position to try and get a building built which will accommodate all our programs and free the church hall up for praising and worshipping God. We received planning permission in January which is great, now all we need is to raise £400,000.00. the church has raised £40K through their own offerings however we are way off the mark, we are in the process of seeking substantial funding etc but we are also running fund raising programs which brings me to my point.

Hillfields are going to try and run a fund raising 6-a-side tournament in preseason, with all proceeds going to the new building project. There is however a few different things to work around, the national tournament and Nailsea tournament in August for one. It is my hope to have as many teams involved as is possible. The plan will be that we would expect each player to gain sponsorship of so much each and that would act as entry fee, we would have a BBQ etc as well plus trophies and try and make a day of it. This is a grat opportunity to raise money for the project and perhaps we could use the money to buy something specific for the hall?

What I need to know, are most teams wanting to support it and if it was ran mid to late July would you be able to attend.

Here is a link to the website which has the plans attached so you can see the scale of what we are trying to achieve, it’s not fully Functional just yet!

Sounds good, i'm sure Welton would enter depending on how much we'd need to raise to be able to enter.

What do you think, I was thinking, if each player tried to raise min £10 each that should work and not be too hard was gonna make all the hillfields players raise £50 each, do you think £10 is too much it's a sponser more than an entry fee most people should be able to get 10 people to give them a £1???

Website is website

However be warned its £15 per player plus I think £90 which equates to around £300 a team.

I am enquiring at the moment as to whether this is the case but have not heard anything back yet!

That is WELL expensive but i think you're right. That's what it says on the website anyway!

If that's the case, we won't be able to afford that. You almost need sponsorship to compete!
