DIVISION THREE THREAD

WOW, a third division!

Has any other Christian league done this?

Has won everything this game has to offer, everything but the GFA and the Golden boot ...next year, next year.

Re: DIVISION THREE THREAD

Unnecessary in terms of 2008/09 I agree but a good question from Tom.

On Monday night someone was telling me that the West Midlands churches league Cup final was watched by 500 people this season at a 'proper' ground.

Does anyone have any knowledge of other churhes leagues round the country?

......

For those interested (which could only be me) here's a couple of links to the West Midlands and South Wales churches leagues.

The Welsh league's cup final is taking place at Ninian Park tomorrow night which is quite a coup for them.

Ben, you are just heaping pressure on yourself to host the BCFA finals at a "proper ground". Well done, its long overdue. emoticon

Should we not now change the names to Premiership, Championship and League 1?

Indeed Si - that would be quite an "event" which would no doubt need a fair bit of "co-ordinating".

Re: DIVISION THREE THREAD

It is quite an achievement to have three divisions. We should now be aiming to get them all upto ten teams!

I grew up playing in the Leicester Churches League and that had two divisions and I think it was 10/12 in each league. I would say the standard of our league is better though and I reckon it is because we play in the mornings.

I could possibly get Paulton Rovers pitch for finals? As i know the captain of the first team is my cousin. He's on about signing on for Welton in a couple of season when he retires from semi-pro emoticon
