Viper 690XV alarm? i am thinking about putting one on my pathfinder. it is the 2-way remote alarm without the auto starter, etc. anyone have any experience with this particular model or viper 2-way systems in general? thanks!

Re: Viper 690XV alarm? thanks, puff. i already did that and he was a big help. per his suggestion all i had to do was type in "690" into the search system SD has and 29 threads almost entirely revolving around the exact alarm i am interested in were at my fingertips. this was EXTREMELY useful. murph really knows is stuff apparently. some of the previous threads i found had advice he gave to other 690 users (i.e. - things to add on and in with the install job, etc.) and i will be piggybacking and taking that advice as well.

Re: Viper 690XV alarm? just got the alarm installed a few days ago. it is excellent. i also had two piezo sirens installed in the vehicle. the installation job was impressive. the only problem i had was i specifically requested the 520T battery backup and they installed a 515R battery backup siren instead. i am taking it back in tomorrow to either add the 520T or replace the 515R with it.
