so, who is around and where do you play?

How has everyone been?

I've been playing WOW, but I recently quit because it's too much money. So now my only game is q2.

I play tastyspleen vanilla but don't see anyone I recognize. Where do you all play?


Nevermind. I read through some of the other threads and saw that I'm not the only one to ask this question in the last few months. I'll play tastyspleen vanilla and DM exclusively unless there's a better place someone thinks I should go.

Hey Anom, how have u been? Are you in the states or overseas? I hope I didn't mixup stories of "who" went where emoticon. Anyway, I'm playing Counterstrike Source for the most part, and some Call of Duty.

yeah, World of Warcraft emoticon. Actually I enjoyed it but with a family it's hard to commit to more than an hour or two of play at a time, which is necessary for some of the longer "dungeons" or "instances" that are in the game.

Mostly, though, you have to pay 15$ a month and on top of that, they came out with an expansion that has tons of cool features, but is another 40$. I just grew sick of it...I guess I'm finally frugal in my old age.

i picked up half life 2. i had been wanting the game for ages and ages and ages. My only mistake was playing it after FEAR singleplayer. It is not as interactive, but after FEAR, any graphics seem stone age. i tried to get into the multiplayer, but all servers just seem to play killbox type maps, and i just could never get into it. emoticon

i have yet to give counter strike source a go. i guess i am too entrenched in FEAR right now. And q2 still fills up any empty hours of game time.

i do miss this board being active. And i miss 4u2's active servers. after moving servers, i dont think i ever got a proper 4u2 server config running again, so i will get that onto a todo list. emoticon When i do, i will add it to Gumby's Graveyard server as a voteable option. It will play all 4u2 maps. i'll post when its done, but it may be a week or so unless i find the time. Then when on TS, you can goto and make YOUR OWN 4u2 server!!!! ....memories....

i added a voteable 4u2.cfg to gumby's graveyard revisited.

ip is 72.232.228.186:27940 You can vote the 4u2.cfg which will run all 4u2 maps (4u2map3 through 4u2map15). "goto gumby" from TastySpleen.

Gator, many thanks trying to keep Sq's legacy of maps alive! And thanks for the info FEAR FFA... since it's free, I might as well take a stab at it.

OMG, a 1.76 gig download plus a 44 meg update, lol. Sure glad I'm not on dial-up,
no offense intended Hammer. Got the files in less than two hours. Time to install and check out the game.
On a side note. I am back into drag racing, car is almost ready for the track. Need to pay for a few more safety goodies.

Superdave, I think you have the most dangerous hobby around here with your drag racing! Don't be shy to share pics with us, heh.

So for those of you that tried FEAR online with the free download.... what'd you think? I don't know what it, maybe the sound is lacking... but I don't get a sense or feel of the action that even Q2 can give me. Maybe i need to tweak, dunno.

Fear huh? I might give that a shot. I'll definitely play more at the gumby server. Is Tastyspleen laggy now or is it just me?

Is corpus still around? I haven't seen him on lately. what about you super, where do you play?

I play on pepp5.com since i live 40 miles from the server and cool players play there. Ping still sucks though. Also play on the jump servers.
