CB, I've only used [4u2]FooPooh as my handle in all of my online gaming... I have no need for a zillion different identities.
I think I've gotten the hang of a few of the "standard" CSS maps (de_dust, dust2, Office, Aztec).... but I still get smoked in a lot of face to face confrontations. I tend to do better when I manage to sneak around and catch a player by surprise, or when I can throw a nade and flashbang b4 so they can't see me right away.
I'll be on AIM tonite to find Sq if he's up to playing. CB manages to find me w/ASE anyways.

The key in CSS Fooooooo is the headshot,
It's a***** 2 get the hang of,
But if ya do its deadly,
I still try -n- soften em up with a nade
then spray with whatever weap i have.
Our big High School local rivalry game is 2
nite & its at home so the family is going along with around 18 to 25 friends,
Should b-a blast,
I'll look u cats up later if theres no camp fires goin on that is.....

Update;Purchased and installed XP Pro. Now
to re-install all the stuff i lost with the almighty format c: command and try HL2 again. Hopefully I'll be gaming soon.

Heh, sytem is:
Athlon 1800
512 sdram
GF3 Ti-200, 64M
24x10x40 CDR/RW
XP should be okay. It's up and running fine.
Actually having performed the re-format was a good thing.
Now HL2 is a diff. issue, tried to install last nite. Half way through disk 1 it stops with an error. Can't find file"Hl2.cab". The Steam part gets loaded, then appears to be loading Counter Strike Source stuff when it fails. I see a return trip to Best Buy in my future.
Edit....Halflife2 is now functional, seems I needed to completely download the whole thing from Steam. Now to DL DM and CSS

Ya, I would just go back and get an exchange b4 whatever their exchange time period ends.
ALso, check this thread out.... it may provide some ideas... but it ultimately suggests exchanging the game as this guy already tried more than a few things:

On Steams' forum, use their Search option and type in hl2.cab.... you'll get a bunch of threads related to ur problem, that is if u want to embark on fixing it b4 exchanging. Goood luck!

Lol foo, your post and my edit are close enough that you missed it. HL2 in now functional, currently downloading CSS.
Windows XP firewall is being a pain in the butt for testing DM, I'll get it figured out
shortly.
P.S. Video looks good but is kinda slow. I'm sure it will need tweaking, maybe some OC'ing is in order for the system.
