My name is Rob; i am 34 and live in Port Charlotte, FL.

i got into FPS games online with Quake. To this day, i still have alot of nostalgia for the game. i love the sounds for some reason. When Quake2 came out i carried on playing as fragmeat. i had two buddies and we would skin up in the naked chic and team up on servers. Around 1999 or so i joined {LaG} clan as Vishnu{LaG}. i still have great love for the clan in those days. There were lots of good people that i would love to see again such as Skarecrowe, Cheese, Jester, Generic, Powder, etc. i then left the game for two or three years because i got sick of the negativity in the game and it was taking up too much time in my life. i came back around summer of 2004 and joined >FAS>. i then set up [BTF] in November of 2004. i wanted to create a clan based not on competition or skill, but purely on fun. i wanted it to be for everyone with a good attitude, not elitist in any way.

My name is Duane; i'm 40 and live in Cocoa, FL. I am married and have 2 children. I have been working at Kennedy Space Center for the last 20 years. I enjoy Golf, Softball, and gaming of course.

I started playing Q2 about 98. I started at a server called "Homenet". It was a really cool server, kinda of a little family. Once "Homenet" went away I found myself playing at "Enter.net". Enter had a much larger player base. Enter had some very talented players.

Pooh Bear was a player who I played with at Homenet, he had moved on to the Velocity.net server. Pooh got me to play at velocity. Over time I found myself playing more at velocity than Enter. Tebroc runs the velocity server, he is the most responsive admin I have ever encountered, It was a pleasure to play there.

Velocity began to have server issues which caused it to lose many of its players, the issues are now resolved but the server is empty most of the time.

When velocity was having problems I found the TS servers. It was great to find servers like this when Q2 is so far down its lifespan. I heard TS is the busiest server on the net these days Whoohoo.

I have never seriously played TDM, but with the members we have now, we should be able to field a great team. Looking forward to giving TDM a try.

I remember playing Vishnu, I was Sgt. **** back then.

Ok my book is over now emoticon

Re: bios!

Well let's see...

My name's Colin, I'm 16 (17 on wed.!) I live in Essex, Vermont, where there's nothing to do but drink heavily and smoke weed. I work around VT as a stage hand, and was recently fired from a position as clerk at a convenience store.

When it comes to games, there are few I play. I started playing Tiberian sun at 12, and I've been playing quake for a year or two. Winning or losing is of little importance to me, my main focus is having fun and I'm always happy to end up with 5 or 6 well earned frags, even if i did get my ass kicked. I'm definitely more into FFA than TDM, as you may have guessed.

My main interests are (in no particular order), doing crazy (or really stupid) ****, mountain biking, playing guitar, going to metal concerts, quake, and sitting on my ass.

Name: Scott Buchanan
Occupation: Pain in the ass
Location: Alturas California
Age: 17
Discription: I started playing Quake II a little over 3-4 years. I first tried it on playstation when I went up to my sisters place in Portland Oregon and enjoyed palying it despite its console controlls. On the way back to home base in Alturas we stopped at a Wal-Mart in Klmath Falls, and walaa, Quake II was on the store shelf for $20, I couldnt resist. The first time I played multiplayer was 3-5 months later at a local server called snowcrest, wich unfortunatly closed down leaving me fragless and bored. After quite some time away from the Quake II multiplayer scene I found the Quake II MSN Gamezone room so again I started on to Quake II multiplayer again, this time with GXmod instead of the vanilla quake games. I was there for quite some time under the chatroom alias name "Railgunjunkie" because my beloved "Dead Beat" alias was used up (It was used in the Games though). After playing there for a few months, in one of the games a guy posted an ip to play at cause there were only 3 of us at the time so I went. It ends up that Ip was to the FAS clan server. That server basically became my new home for playing becasue the way they like to play was very similar to mine. The freinds I made on that server I always will respect even if I don't see them much anymore. One I pretty much talk to everyday, he is known now as [BTF]Gator. After the founding of the BTF clan and his breakaway from FAS, I would drop by fairly often to visit gator and the newly formed BTF clan, but still stuck to FAS for a few years playing there, clanless but enjoying the fun I had at both servers. The first time I was invited by gator to join i declined, mostly because clan life did not seem applealing do to the setup of some clans I have seen around where you were nothing but a rank based on your playing ability. Fortunatly this [BTF] Clan Gator formed was not like this and after a bit both Gator and Z4nder convinced me to join. From there I have been playing with Brothers of Tru fraggin and enjoying the times I spend playing!

Gaming History, I'm what you call a "Hardcore Gamer." I've been playing games and baseball all my life. I was a super athelete in high school playing basketball and baseball. I was always the number 4 batter, but whats strange, is even though I'm 6'4" I've never weighed over 220. I've played almost everything that has come out for the PC that ever had a actual name in the media, cause I've always read things non-stop about pc gaming. I was so excited with the technology because my nintendo was just not cutting it no more. So I've been here since the first 3D First Person Shooter. Which last time I checked was quake I. I played quake II when it was first released on shelves. I have a need for technology. So the longest game I've ever played is probly Counter-Strike [99-03]. I played Counter-strike since the first beta, I was a strong support and got support to open a community up in new york.

I want to prove a couple of things so people understand and beleive what I say. There was I think 3 clans that ran a huge CS community support by Road Runner which is a time warner controlled company. Well we knew people in there and got a huge community all setup had like 10 thousand people with 2 servers of 16 people, that made 32 people at once could only play. so it was always the big names that would stay in game for like 4-8hours. It was almost like a mmorpg community, it was nuts. Thats what made CS so special; how long u could play the game. Because you didn't have to sit on the edge of your god damn seat hitting jump every two seconds. But what do I know.... Well CLAN SPECIAL EDITION (SE) was run by me. I was a big part of the community falling apart so there I have alot of enemies. Well, whats left of it that is. Only the trash stayed, the ones with attitude to everyone that isn't like them. When I first played CS I never beleived there was cheating. But as time went on and I got really good people would call me cheater every day, EVERY ****ING DAY!!!KJL!KJ@LK!J@! it got on the nerves so because I had a mouth and because I had a name I was always the topic of discusion. Clans started allying against each other and ****, some clans wouldn't play each other cause they thought some members cheated. But the biggest scum of them all in New York are these guys....

http://cs-onp.com

They where complete jerks, but trust me I raised hell back. Eventually all the fighting split the community up and here is all what remains

http://gaming.nycap.rr.com

the gaming.nycap.rr.com website was deleted so the orginal isn't there no more but as u can see that used to be the main site, it looks like **** now compared to what we had going on. I had a all flash website back when flash was new. Overall my gaming histroy is in CS. We had like 10k+ people play in a community with stats. The stats where always posted, and there wasn't for almost a year I wasn't in the number one spot. So its hard not being ****y when u lead so many people as the best. ^_^

Anyways Quake II is the bomb, but check out games like Guild Wars, if u like games like Diablo 2, I'm in Guild Wars, and can help anyone out that wants to kill people all the time as a team. There is another game coming out called F.E.A.R. its more my type of game I want to follow this game and see if it takes off like I hope it will. I won't know till I get my hands on a released version because demo's and downloaded games never always work the same, u take code out, something is eventually gonna have a problem.

If u intrested in either of these games,

AIM="Caltic Blue"

Truthfully I play games for fun now, I mean I love to compete its in my blood, and most people can't handle the fact that I always try to improve myself on my game even if its a video game who wants to waste there time getting there asses kicked? If you do, well thats your cup of vanilla sugar ice cream cake fudge packed horse condom. To play competative for games such as quake 2 would be a waste of time since there will never be in the near future any tournaments that pay well for it when these more dynamic games are coming out that take more natural skill to play. Because of how realistic they are getting but still keeping the game aspects that are most fun and dear to us. You defently have to work hard to get good at quake II but there are equal or harder games about to be released.

Name is Ryan
Age is 24
Location is Central IOWA
Occupation is working in a machine shop (ughh)

Gaming History- It all started with one game. Wolfenstein 3d. My uncle had if for his computer when i was like, 8 or 9, and he would NOT let me play it. Said it was too gory. HA! I snuck down into his office all the time to play that game. Finished it over and over and over. Ever since then it's been FPS's for me. Doom, Duke, Quake (2)(3), Tribes, Mechwarrior, Unreal, Call of Duty, SoF2, on and on and on... My absolute favorite is quake2. I started right after it came out and played on the ZONE as FLESH. joined a few clans, played a few matches, got pretty good, then it started to die, and i moved on. Now i'm back to have alot of fun, maybe get into some RA2 again and just have some laffs and good times. I'd be interested in learning a bit more of gx or just tdm in general tho. If you see me on IRC just holla and we'll have some fun. Look forward to meeting the rest of BTF's !!

PEACE!
