Q2 or Q4?
When Q4 comes out, will everyone flock to it, stay on Q2, or both? Your Opinions.

i am interested in seeing everyone's answer to this too.
i guess i personally see q4 as a distraction that will split up and rob the q2 community of people i have grown to love. i am probably less happy then more happy about it coming out. i have seen every video and movie about it that has come out. Only a few scenes of those gave me the desire to get the game. The strongest impressions made on me were the QuakeCon multiplayer footage. To me it looked exactly like Q3 in play. To me this is not a good thing. i really liked q1, and have been addicted to q2 for years. i just have never got along well with q3, although i keep trying to give it more chances.
In the end, if my computer will run the game ok, i will purchase it and play it to be with my friends. i'd like to see [BTF] represent in q4. However, i am afraid my heart will not build very deep roots there. At this time, i expect to stay in q2. Or at least the majority of my focus will be here.
i'd love to hear what everyone has to say on this. Thanks for the topic 5antana!

Personally I will be looking forward to Quake 4 to come out so I can get involved in a game the days of its release. I'm very excited about the single player though, its about time Quake 2 had a sequel that should live up to the story line. I love the Quake genre of ID software and see nothing wrong with any of them. Quake 3 is not a bad game, there is absolutly nothing wrong with it and I find it really fun. Quake 2 is a great game, when the egomaniacs leave others to play in peace. Quake 1 I havent played much but the rocket oriented play kind of makes it tough along with the power of the lightning gun.

I've been asked to join sYnth| (sYnthesis) a Polish based Q2/Q4 clan for Q4.. though it's tempting, I'm unsure what direction I will head.. as of now.. I'm quite the Q4 n00b.
