The dam is a Mutant daughter.
Jeff, please have a look at the page of Red Bloodlines before the one with the Shottle, there is something written about the dominant red gene.

You can blame me for this thread.The red shottle is just the beginning of what Mutants genes will create.I have flushed my red goldwyn to bolton and baxter,and she is bred to shottle.

maybe the mother is telstar and this shottle was born red and in the future will be black...

No, as Christof already wrote the animals dam is a Mutant daughter that carries the dominant red gene. Thus it will probably not turn black.
There is already a thread on Mutant. Maybe things become a bit clearer, if you look at it.

RED Shottle?
Just got an e-mail from the breeder of the Red Shottle.Her Dam is a Mutant Dau. that has scored 85 as a 2 yr old.The Shottle is already consigned to the Classic sale at dairy expo in october.
