Exposing False Prophets
Interesting techniques in the faith-healing circus:
Part 1

Part 2
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4DzuIymBU9U
In Part 1, the speaker (an expert in self-defense tecniques) shows the similarities of self-defense moves and the physiological effects that faith healers tend to have on their followers.
In Part 2, did you notice that the customer (famous hypnotist Derren Brown) made small talk with the businesspeople to distract them from examing the bills? He included in that small talk the statement: "I was a bit intimidated by the subway system. I didn't want to go on it, and then someone said, 'You know, it's OK. Take it. Take it. It's fine. So I did. It's amazing. . . ." as he hands them counterfeit cash. I think he was subtly leading them to believe that they could "take it. Take it. It's fine" without noticing (until after he left their stores) that he had paid them with false money. The power of suggestion is very strong, indeed.
Also, in Part 2, the use of fear and intimidation is explored. Don't fear these false prophets. Remember Deuteronomy 13:1-11; 18:20-22. There is no need to fear a false prophet. The Lord never contradicts Himself or changes His ways. The best way to check to see whether something is true or false is to know the Truth so well that you will recognize falsehood (even subtle falsehood) immediately and accept only what is true. John 10 is also a good passage to read and study. Don't be deceived.
On a slightly different note, false christs will come to deceive many people in many different ways:

Please be careful (1 John 4).
