Diary from the MN WI Tour
WWWWOOOOWWWW!! What a great time. It was a lot of fun packed into a short amount of time, and I can't wait to do it again.
We left ****inson at 5:30p on Thursday, and stopped in Fargo at the Expressway Inn & Suites, thanks to a hook-up from my work, KDIX Radio. I dropped a disc to the counter attenant, and hopefully she digs it, cuz she was totally hot.
We drove into Milltown on Friday, missed the turn, but still made it there before everyone else. When we drove in, the sign said, "MILLTOWN, POP 888." I thought, what the hell have we gotten ourselves into. We walked inside, and I about crapped my pants. The stage was huge, the dance floor was sunk down about 10 feet from the main level, and the sound system & lights were very impressive.
We opened it up, followed by a quick set by Emcee Edge, and then Seven Days Remain played a great set. They seemed like really great guys, and I'm hoping to get them out here in May. We then played another set, and then Emcee Edge came out again with a very energetic performance that I'd never seen from them before. What a great time, and the staff rule! Big thanks going to Jay for having us, and to Thumb for doing the sound for free! Hope to see you guys soon!
We rolled into Duluth at 4:15a at the Motel 6 which had a lobby that looked like the booking area of a jail. The security guards assured me that it wasn't, that it was actually Motel 6. We couldn't check in till 5a, so we went over to Perkins to kill some time, and then crashed really hard when we checked into our rooms.
We ate at Red Lobster, and then headed over to The Merritt Center for the all ages show. The show fell through, so we went back to our rooms feeling pretty crappy. Edge, Derrick DX and myself headed over to Tower Ave in Superior to check out some clubs over there. We went into Norman's Bar, talked to Tom the owner, and 45 minutes later, we were setting up our stuff on their stage!
We opened it up and played to a fairly energetic group of people, and Emcee Edge went up and played for a really energetic group. Very fun time, and thanks to Tom for inviting us at the last minute and making our end of the trip a fun time, and thanks to Truck the sound guy!
We headed back to the Motel 6 to find about 100 people milling around in the parking lot. We went upstairs to hang out, and watch our vehicles. All of a sudden, I jumed up and said "Whoa, check it out! What's going on out there!!" A guy pulled off a luggage rack off of a vehicle and started chasing after some guy with it. Shirts came off in the 20 degree weather right next to Lake Superior, and we had ourselves a good old-fashioned riot in the parking lot.
A couple minutes later, Marc Ternes yells, "Check it out, that guy's got a knife!" Sure enough, some crazy bastard was wielding a knife screaming something at the top of his lungs. No one got stabbed surprisingly, and the cops showed up, but didn't arrest anyone. So kids, in Duluth, I guess it is okay to chase people around with knives.
The trip home was a long one, but we had a great time talking about all of the stuff we saw and did. What a great time! Thanks to Marc and Jeremy for helping out and learning new material in such a short amount of time. Thanks to Derrick DX and Emcee Edge for setting all of this up and inviting us along. Thanks to everyone who came out, and special thanks to all of the venues for having us! Hope to see you again soon!
I think I covered almost everything, but if not, I'm sure Jeremy will post any other details I left out.

Yes, and not off the Bong bridge, off the big one. And yes, I said the Bong bridge, that is the actual name.
Also: we are headed back to Superior to play at Norman's on the 26th of March. Someone should put together a fun bus and head out to Superior! It is a great place!!

you forgot the food fight on Hwy 2 from duluth to bemidji and the sad "see ya later" in bemidji, and the mean azzhole in duluth who was laid out and woke up splashing beer and kicking chips... and the really hot chick who just loved you in superior at norms but walked away when you asked her for her dads number... i think thats all! HAHAHAHA!

HAHAHAHAHA! OH YEAH! I left out some of the best parts. We had a great food fight with curly fries and hot dog buns when we were heading to Bemidji. That was sweet.
God, that girl was smokin' hot, too, and sweet as hell. Man, I can't believe I messed that up. Wait... yes I can. I'm glad you guys were there to coach me afterwards. And I like how Derrick came up, and just said flat out, "Kyle, what the frick, man? You totally fricked that up." Ah man, well, maybe I can get her back when we go back on the 26th.
And that brings up a beef that I've got with the girls in ****inson: I don't know what the deal is with them. I can never even get that close with girls around here, I have to go out of town to even have a shot. I wonder if there is a rumor going around that I don't have a penis or that I'm gay, because girls around here don't even talk to me much.
