Re: The Candlestone - Initial Thoughts
I ADORED THE CANDLE STONE!!! I love how so far, you've placed a very cool poem/prophecy in the beginning. THIS MUST CONTINUE! They're SO COOL! The Whole Transluminating bit was over my head for a while, until i sat and thought about it. I still had some problems, but over all.... GREAT BOOK

Re: The Candlestone - Initial Thoughts
ya, i really really liked "The Candlestone", i finally got it and read it in a day and a half. I really need to reread it because the whole thing was a little confusing to me. My favorite park was when Billy, Mrs. Bannister, Walter, and the professor fought the people in Mr. Conner's office. I have a question also, was the laboratory supposed to always seem dark and gloomy. It seemed to me that they didn't have ceiling lights except for the main room with the three tubes (forgot what that room was called). How Devin got out of the candlestone confused me too, i just need to read the book more slowly this time. I just wanted to say that i loved both books, and i am praying that God helps you with the books past the fourth one

The middle portion of the lab had ample lighting from fluorescent light panels in a drop ceiling. The rest of the lab was rather dark and gloomy due to the fact that it was in a cavern.
Regarding how Devin escaped from the candlestone, if you read it again and still don't understand, let me know, and I'll try to explain it.

I completely agree! A stroke of genius. The prophecy gives our minds something to chew over and helps us to enderstand what might happen throughout the book. It's quite interesting!
--- The Candlestone, Bottom of Pg.206 and top of Pg.207. By far the BEST paragraph in the entire book!!
