The story begins exactly where Circles of Seven ends, in late autumn. I have an idea that it will end in the springtime, but that's not final yet.

I'd like to see more of the inside of Devin's thoughts. He started out noble, but fell into darkness.
Is he still fooling himself, or has he given over entirely to evil? Can he redeem himself?
I'd also like to see some more discussion into the nature of kings and kingdoms. I loved the illustration in Lord of the Rings of righteous king Theodin being contrasted to the worthless steward Denethor.
Can Billy become someone who people would die for, simply because he's the king?
