Louis looked around. He would have told her she could fly in the hangar if it were not for the fact that Kronos was sleeping in the rafters. "I'm sorry but it's not safe now. It's too light outside and I don't trust this building enough to let somebody fly up near the rafters. At sundown I'll let you go out and stretch."

Kronos' eyes slowly opened to the morning light below. Somehow, deep within his mind, he knew had had slept for far more than his absolute requirement of ten minutes. He looked at all the young anthrozils moving about. Drats... he'd have to stay put a while longer. He hung motionlessly among the rafters, his cloven feet clinging to the ceiling as though it was nothing but second nature. Sometimes, he thought, I do not fully regret what I am... with any other feet, I'd have fallen to my doom in my sleep... then where would I be?
