Not so much dragons as fantasy. The last few decaded or so, American media has been pretty focused on Sci-Fi, such as Star Trek, Babylon 5, and Star Wars. Before that it was the Western. Fantasy is the latest genre to get the public interested. LOTR, Harry Potter… Most of the movies coming out that are going to be remembered twenty years from now are Fantasy. Just my little thoughts.

Edit: Why on earth is this using the big font? emoticon

Yes, fantasy in general is popular. Just in the last couple years, Christian Fantasy has gotten big...I'm amazed that half the fantasy books on my shelf are published by Christian companies. Keep writing, Chrisitan fantasy authors!! emoticon

What age would you recommend for the Dragonspell book

A good reader who is eight years old up to about fourteen. The main character is a girl, so girls would probably enjoy it more than boys.

I may not be eight to fourteen, but I started the book last night. So far it is good.
