Le Morte D'Arthur

so apparently Launcelot's first name was Galahad, but so was his son. And Sir Mordred is Arthur's son/nephew. And I could agree that Arthur is a child of parents who were not wed, but also agree that he's not.

Is it just me or were even Christians (so called, like Guinevere and Launcelot) lawless then? Did anybody besides me see how many adulterers there were? Could be just me, I know that, but honestly this doesn't seem a) wholesome society, b) the standard for then and now, and c) NOT A BOOK FOR THE UNEDUCATED IN WORLDY WAYS. I'm educated, but not like I'll ever USE that education. I don't know why I even HAVE it.

EDIT BY KOH: While the term might be correct in the dictionary, I'm afraid it might be offensive.

Sir Gwayne is also hs nephew... the Death of Arthur... what a cool book that was. I like how Arthur tells (I beleive it was Gladimir, I haven't read it in a while) to throw Excalibur into the lake, and three times he doesn't.

"What happened?"

"Nothing..."

"GO THROW IT IN THE LAKE!"

Actually, that's partly why I never read much of the King Arthur legends. One of my friends informed me that any of the stories with women in them were all very, very sexual. So I left it at that. I read part of Morte d' Arthur, and since we didn't read the whole thing for class, I lost interest quickly.

Ya THINK? Although I have to admit, I was kinda upset when (was it Galahad?) went against Gawain's brothers. That made me slightly sorry for Gawain, and for Galahad. Not at all for Gaheris and the others. I know, slightly nuts, but w/e.

I saw the movie Camelot. I didn't even finish it! It was terrible! Waaaaaaaay too much suggestive and sexual content. Seriously.
