Re: Mystery in the Las Vegas Suburbs (By: D. Berry & A. Carter)
All right. I added a little to the story. Here is the entire story so far.
******
Jami Laconez sighed as she laid back in the pool. Her shoulder length wavy black hair played around her face as she floated on her back. Then, SPLASH! Jami screeched in terror, as her cousin jumped in the pool. And all of the sudden, the cell phone rang and Moigan answered it.
"Hello?"
Static.
"But-but-"
"No buts missy!"
Jami snatched the phone from her cousin.
"Hello?"
"Jami?"
"Dion, wassup man?"
"Jami, I know you and Moigan are on vacation, but this is a big problem."
"How big?"
"Bigger than you could ever imagine!!"
"Dion, Dion calm down man. What are we a supposed to do?"
"The chief wants you two at HQ, ASAP."
"On our way, we're as good as there. Bye."
"Bye."
Jami pressed the 'End' button and Moigan said,
"Eh...I take it our vacation is being cut short."
"Yes, Igan, it is."
"Don't call me Igan!"
"Why?"
"Because it sounds like Ethan."
"Ok, Igan."
"Ugh! Stop it!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A few hour later Moigan and Jami were on a plane flying straight for Washington D.C.
“Jami, do you know what’s up?” Moigan asked.
“No Dion, didn’t give me much info, he just said that chief wanted us. He sounded really stressed out.”
“Why did he have to ruin our vacation? I mean it’s the first break we’ve had for the longest time and just expects us to put down all we are doing to do a case? I’ve been looking forward to this for weeks and one day into it we have to leave! Couldn’t you have just told him-“
“Moigan, calm down. I know how you feel, but you have to understand that it’s our job. If we get called to do something we have to do it.”
“I know, but I just wish it could have waited till after our vacation.” Moigan leaned back in the chair and drifted off to sleep.
*******
How do you like it so far?
Re: Mystery in the Las Vegas Suburbs (By: D. Berry & A. Carter)
Thank you Thank you *stands up and bows* Here is the next part
***
Soon they landed in Washington D.C., a sleek black car was waiting for them as they stepped out of the airport. As they stepped in they saw Dion.
“Hey Dion, how ya doing?” asked Jami.
“I’m doing just fine. How ‘bout you?”
“Pretty good. Igan here is a little upset, but I think that she’ll get over it. So what’s the latest?”
“I don’t have all the details. You are going to need to go the chief for that. And besides he doesn’t want me to tell you anything. So Moigan, you doing ok about missing your vacation?”
“I would be enjoying right now, but thanks to you I’m going to probably have to sit in a stuffy office, get briefed and then be sent to some bizarre town, for some assignment.”
“Hold it there, calm down. I didn’t mean to get you upset, but the boss said you were the only ones right for the job. I tried to tell him that you were on vacation, but he didn’t listen. So when you go in to see him, don’t make any comments like you did to me. Alright.”
“Sure, whatever.” Moigan turned and looked out the window.
“So,” Dion said turning to Jami, “how was your vacation going?”
“It was going great. I was enjoying the nice Hawaiian heat when you called. I was a little upset, but I hole no grudges now.”
“That’s good.”
Soon they reached FBI headquarters. Once inside they were ushered into the chief’s office.
Re: Mystery in the Las Vegas Suburbs (By: D. Berry & A. Carter)
Sorry it's been awhile. I've been busy with school and I just had a four 1/2 day weekend, and I didn't feel like writing. Here is the next part. If you have any ideas on how to revise it please let me know. Here it is.
*****
“Agents Laconez, and Carolvus, welcome.” The chief said. Then he turned to Dion. “Agent Wanton, you may stay for their briefing. I have a feeling they may need you on this one.”
“Sir, if I may ask, what exactly happened?” Jami asked.
“Well Allison Cramer, the daughter of California’s Governor, was kidnapped yesterday. We have reason to believe that Thomas Stipe, a convict that was just released kidnapped her.”
“Why what’s his record?” asked Moigan getting into the investigating mood.
“Well he’s been charged with kidnapping before. We don’t know what the motive is yet, but were sure it has to do with money.”
“Why do you think that?” asked Jami.
“He’s had gambling debts before and has kidnapped people to get them paid off. So we think that he kidnapped the governor’s daughter to pay off his debts. Here is a sheet with all the information on it about what was found at the crime scene. Take it and look over it, if you have any questions feel free to give me a call.” He handed the sheet to Jami, who slipped it into a portfolio. “You may go.”
****
How's that, needs a bit of work I know.
Re: Mystery in the Las Vegas Suburbs (By: Bookworm7)
Alright I'm back on the roll thanks to DragonRyder. Here's the next part.
******
Jami, Moigan, and Dion walked out of the Chief’s office and left the building. As they stepped outside they saw a man motioning for them. They gave each other a confused glance and walked towards the man. They followed him to an alley where he disappeared. They looked around for the man, but couldn’t find him so they decided to leave. All of a sudden they saw him jump out.
Pointing a gun at them he said, “Give me the information you got about the case and discontinue your investigation.”
Jami took a step back and calmly with a tinge of fear in her voice said. “No, you can’t have it.”
“Who’s to say I can’t?” The man said ****ing his gun.
“I am,” Dion replied as he stepped in between the man and Jami. “Now if you would leave us alone, we have a job to do.”
“Yes, I’m sure you do. Do you know what that job is? Your job is to hand over that information.”
“Fine,” Jami said pushing Dion aside. “You can have it.” She pulled out a portfolio and started to hand it over.
“No! Don’t!” Moigan screamed as she grabbed the portfolio from Jami. “Do you know what could happen if you did that. We could get fired from our job. We could-“
“Moigan, stop it.” Jami grabbed the portfolio back. “Yes, I know what could happen if we handed this over, but I also know what could happen if we didn’t.” She held out the portfolio for the man who grabbed it.
Before the man left, he waved the gun in the air and said, “Discontinue the case, or the Governor’s daughter will get hurt.”
Re: Mystery in the Las Vegas Suburbs (By: Bookworm7)
All right here is part of the next part( I ran out of time to type it all up.)
.” She held out the portfolio for the man who grabbed it.
Before the man left, he waved the gun in the air and said, “Discontinue the case, or the Governor’s daughter will get hurt.” He put his gun away and ran around the corner.
Moigan turned to Jami and said, “I can’t believe you just did that. You just gave that man all the information about our case! And you,” she turned to Dion. “You just stood there and let her do that! What’s going to happen now? Wait till-.”
“Moigan, stop it! You need to calm down.” Jami said as she put her hands on Moigans shoulders. “Everything is all right.”
“What do you mean everything is all right?” Asked Dion. “I saw you hand over that portfolio. I agree with Moigan we’re in high water now.”
“Will you both chill. It’s all cool. I’ll prove it.” Jami pulled another portfolio out of her bag. “See what did I tell you.” She opened up the portfolio and shoed them. “No guy, is going to get this.”
How's that?
