(untitled yet)
An updated version of a novella I wrote when nine.
Prologue
Darkness surrounding a single form. As the shadow materialized, it was a fair honey-blond child calling for her mother.
Frightening noises commenced, sword clashes, yelling and the like while the child still called her mother.
The girl gave one last cry. "Motherrrrr!"

Chapter One
Lisa awoke with a start. Realizing it was her own voice that woke her up, she flopped back onto her pillow.
Preparing to go back to sleep, she murmered, "What day is it?" Looking at her calendar sampler, she sat up. "My seventeenth birthday. The day I can officially become a queen." She sank down in her bed and rolled over groaning.
"Nope, must get up!" She said out loud and tried to force herself into a sitting position.
"Your Highness? Are you awake?" A knock and a female voice sounded at the door.
"Yes, you may come in, Esther." As the door opened, Lisa turned to look at it. "MUST I get up this morning?"
"I'm afraid so, Princess Lisa. Your father wanted to go for an early ride before the capitol awakens and the celebrations commence." Esther carried Lisa's leather riding tunic and pants towards the bed.
As Esther lit a candle for Lisa and prepared to leave, Lisa slipped her feet out of the covers into her waiting warm slippers. "Will you be coming with us, Esther?" Lisa hurriedly added, fearful that Esther might argue with her position in the royal home. "You don't have to you know, I thought it might be nice for you though."
Esther smiled. "I might if it's a royal decree. If not, I'll stay and receive the expected bouquets from your numerous suitors,"
Lisa rolled her eyes. "You'd better come. I wouldn't wish that on anybody."
Both the girls giggled as Esther slipped out the door and Lisa got up to dress.
As she slipped on her brown leather tunic over her warm undershirt, the smile never left her face.

I like it.
--- Falling from the rooftop
Crashing like a raindrop
Can you make my heart stop
Shaking like a leaf
Standing at the floodgate
Steady as an earthquake
Can you hear my heart break
Tearing at the seams

Great job Elfi! It's cool.

Re: (untitled yet)
Chapter 2
Still honey-blond, 5'3'', blue eyed pixie child, Lisa had only grown in beauty, grace, height and true character.
Seventeen, of age now for marriage and the crown, she had several serious suitors but more star-struck boys. Her three top suitors were Kevin, Donovan and David. She had attended private school with these three and Esther.
Kevin was incredibly loyal, would die for the lady who captured his affections. All the servants and Lisa knew Kevin's recipient was Esther and vice versa. He was only in this competition (need better word, anybody?) because his father threatened to disinherit him.
Donovan. Proud, vain, predjudiced against poor people. He was courting Lisa for the crown, not for herself. Despising Lisa's faith as a Christian, he laughed, behind her back, all around the country.
Lord David, the last of the three. Raised from a fortune-lost dukedom, to a prominent place amongst the nobles in the King's court. Lisa's father favored him well. He was Lisa's favorite, being of the same faith as her, Esther and Kevin, and being her next best friend to her father and the other two.
Still thinking about David and smiling, Lisa moved towards the mirror where she picked up a small box.

Lol. That reminds me of a girl in art school that "collects" fuzzy caterpillars.
