Protect your card!!!
This happened to me...Last month I used my Debit card at a local store, behind me was a person with a camera phone, talking on it. So I thought nothing of it at the time. Well on the 3rd of this month I go to get some cash from my account & am informed that I am 60 some odd dollars overdrawn! I should have had at least 50 bucks in it. Come to the conclusion that the person must have taken a picture of the #'s on my card. I went to the bank the same day and cancelled my card(Thank God I did that) As it was, 3 more charges came in before the card was cancelled, and my account was over 230 overdrawn, but as I had NOT made these ONLINE purchases, the bank got my money back & reversed the overdraw charges.
BTW: As the charges were made online, there is NO PIN # needed! If you see someone near you when using your card and they have a camera phone, BREAK THE SON OF A *****! I know I will if anyone is near me in line again! I am dead serius on this

Re: Protect your card!!!
When ever I type in my PIN number, I shield the top view with my hand and hold my arm and purse in such a way that no one can see from the side. Of course, it depends on how the PIN pad is placed. Some stores have them on this stand which doesn't allow you to angle it, which is stupid. I do my best to block it. I do the same at pay-at-the-pump gas stations in case someone has managed to add some little camera somewhere. I don't care if it makes me look paranoid or if someone might be insulted. Too bad.
As for camera phones, I have to admit I never liked the idea of those. One of the first things that happened when they released those was some pedophile used one in a change room at a public pool! Youwould think that would be warning enough that cameras should LOOK like cameras, and cell phones should only be phones, but all the phone companies cared about was making more money by havng people send their pictures using the phone.
