Re: Nürburgring 2005 Trip I've been to the Nordschleife and it's an awesome trip - certainly if you're a car/motorsport enthusiast you've gotta go . I plan on going back one day so this trip could provide that opportunity...
I don't recall it being as expensive as people are saying; petrol is a bit cheaper over there and it isn't *that* far - we did Reading -> the 'ring in a day (<14 hours) each way inc. the chunnel. You'll want to stay there a couple of nights as there are plenty of places for drinking etc. then you'll want to do a few laps as well as visit a few of the spectating areas to watch various bits of exotica being shown the way round by beaten-up German cars owned by rather knowledgeable locals (E30 M3s being a popular weapon of choice )!

Re: Nürburgring 2005 Trip I am in Australia but I intend to go to Europe at some point and I finish university mid 2005. So if it is after this I might try to fit it in with a holiday. Definately not certain though, I need a lot more money first.
I also probably wouldn't have my E30 unless it is not so difficult/expensive to ship over and get on the road? But I imagine it would be. I would have to look for a good hire car, just somehting like a 330ci, or even M3 etc .
I'll keep a watch on this thread and see how the dates turn out and how much money I can earn. I definately want to be there but most probably won't be .

Re: Nürburgring 2005 Trip You know I'd be keen adam, just have to keep the E30 laying about, but if I sample the delights of the 911 for the next car I think I'd take that!
Re: Nürburgring 2005 Trip sounds good.I hope you all realise that 1 lap of the ring is about 14 miles.Just think of the fuel consumption flat out for 14 miles !!!
