Smoking Roll ups.

I now really can't afford proper fags so have down graded to rollies,but,i'm no expert on the best tobacco,what do you find to be the best all rounder?

Heres what i've tried so far.......

Golden Virginia,rolls well,stays moist,nice smoke. Down side,compared to other brands it's expensive.

Drum,rolls well,average price.Downside,taste's horrible.

Gold Leaf,cheap,free papers included,nice smoke. Downside,dries out a bit quick,the last 15 rollies are rolled out of dust!

Amber Leaf,free papers,average price,rolls well,not a bad smoke. Downside,tobacco a bit course and smells funny.

So far,Gold Leaf is top of my list.

Any input from fellow cheapskates?

I can't help you Rog, my mate smokes Drum iirc, not that, that is helpful in the slightest. emoticon

I always try to get "Gordon's Vagina" - and the thing with that is it's the one people smuggle from Spain, so if you know some bloke what sells it down the pub, you can get it cheaper too. This is a pack of 10x50g packs I got a week or two ago. If I'd bought it from Sainsbury's it would have set me back £125. I'm not allowed to say I bought it, because that's not legal, so here's a completely unrelated figure: £60

There are filters to go in roll-ups which add menthol flavour. Even normal menthols, the menthol is in the filter, not the tobacco.

Give Drum Gold a try, it's a more mellow blend. Oh yes and don't forget the green.

Drum rolled in licorice papers with a slimline filter emoticon

Just make sure you buy the papers from a big supermarket - some corner shops whack up the prices to stupid figures.
