What bushes?

Christ, sorry for all the threads and questions!!

Probably should have asked this before I ordered all the OE ones, but can someone tell me which bushes they would use where on a track car.

I have just got new OEM 325i front ARB bushes and OEM M3 control arm bushes. Would I be better off using powerflex stuff instead?
I can put the bits I've already bought on my road car, so at least they won't go to waste if the alternatives are better emoticon

Cheers,
Bryn.

I know M3Gtr uses the Powerflex so he'd be best to speak to but I think he likes them

Re: What bushes?

I think the M3 control arm bushes are eccentric bushes, not sure the powerflex ones are, worth checking.

Bryn

Powerflex do the eccentric TCA bushes too and I have them fitted... top quality in my opinion. If you're going to the trouble of fitting new bushes, you really should consider the poly bushes like Powerflex as the difference they give is very noticable even over m3 tougher ones.

Re: What bushes?

What about Superflex, anybody used these bushes? they do a ARB link that I don't think Powerflex do.

Are the concentric rear bushes really worth three times the cost?

just got some of the M3 off set one's(PN B31.12.9.061.222) from the dealer's for £65.

I think you'd be best with these for a road car and the Super/Powerflex for a track car may be ?

Re: What bushes?

I know a ot of lads racing in the Northern saloon car championships and they all swear by powerflex bushes, so ive just done my whole car, inc off set M3 front arm bushes, the front bushes were only 6 or 7 quid more then the standard powerflex ones, in my opinion, massive difference, but maybe too harsh for road use, unless your keen on alot of road vibration, transmitting into the car through the bodywork.

my opinion only though, not worth a w**k really, My car is a track car only by the way. emoticon

Part of the attraction of poly bushes is the ease of installation. The car is a fun car so won't be used day-to-day and will hopefully be used for track days.
