Re: ARDS Test Booked!! I honestly can't wait, gonna be great I hope. A couple of hours one to one tuition in a Lotus Elise (if I fit, I told them I'm 6'5" and I may have to drive an Audi A3 Sport!). Here's the itinary for the day anyway;
* Arrival & initial technical lecture including Video Part 1
* Driven Tuition - no assessment
* Car Control Training - friction circles & basic overst
eer control
* Driven tuition and ARDS Driving assessment
* ARDS Video Part 2
* Written Examination
Oversteer practice in a Caterham sounds like a giggle. The racing dream is hopefully becoming reality bit by bit!
Re: ARDS Test Booked!! Sounds more like an 'experience' rather than a test to see if you're competent to race! you'll breeze it and Silverstone will make your hairs stand on end, it's awesome

Re: ARDS Test Booked!! Lotus Sooty...it's 350 pounds which I didn't think was too bad (not that I've really got the money to dish out!). Just like paying for an all day track day but getting tested at the same time. They also do a five day race school and ARDS test but I didn't bother asking how much that was!
I really can't wait, I reckon it'll be excellent. I hope it lives up to my expectations.

Re: ARDS Test Booked!! good luck with that, then onward and upward to the Milltek series next year... cool. Afraid I can only exist on the other side of the crash barriers .... and dream
Re: ARDS Test Booked!! That's not a bad price at all, I thought it'd be closer to £500. The 5 day course is about £1500 I think and is mainly single seater oriented and is supposed to be good. But, you'll learn more just getting as many races under your belt, only racing can give you race experience and it's ALOT different to doing trackdays or having instruction
