Re: ARDS Test Booked!!

Thanks!

I can't wait for the driving bit. It's just the theory and the bits you have to get 100% on that are worrying me a touch!!

I got 35/35 on my driving test, just hope I can pull similar off again!

Re: ARDS Test Booked!!

Hi everyone,

Just got back from Silverstone, what a great day!
I passed!
It was a bit damp on the track but apparently my driving was up to scratch and I got all the flags right and 18/18 of the questions correct.

Even better was the drifting/slalom course set out for the Caterhams. We each had a practice lap, and then two fast laps. There were twenty four people. Guess who was 2 seconds faster than anyone else (even the people who drive porsches and subarus and think they're sh1t hot!). That's right, I was!! emoticon

Sorry to be blowing my own trumpet ( emoticon ) but I'm well chuffed.

emoticon Time for celebration methinks.... emoticon emoticon

edited: Forgot to mention, there was a Warsteiner (sp?) E30 M3 Touring Car blatting it sounds the inner circuit, sounded awesome. While we were having lunch, he was on the main circuit, and the poor thing blew up! Sounded and looked great!

I'm aiming to race in the Milltek Sport BMW Challenge, hopefully by the middle of next year.

I wish I could start sooner, but I need to buy and prepare a car! So no pics as yet!

Re: ARDS Test Booked!!

Hi mate,

I did the actual test on track in an Elise. I couldn't turn the steering wheel very far because my legs got in the way. Very very cramped for me!

The drifting/slalom was in a Caterham. The 'roundabout style' drifting was in a formula first.

It's amazing that a couple of people weren't even booting it properly, they are going for a racing licence for fcuks sake!!

The Milltek Sport BMW Challenge is what the SELOC was last year. It's just changed it's title.

have a look at www.selocmotorsport.com I think that's the site.

Still smiling from yesterday. Those guys were really competitive and some had lots of track experience etc. We had to say what track experience we had at the start, some had lots! They were gutted when I beat them, no-one said anything, nothing bad but no praise either! Wankers!

Good fun day, recommended!
