Re: cam profiles for M20
If he is I'm taking the E36 back for a refund!
We can always ram him into the 1st corner! I read yesterday about some interesting team tactics to get you up the grid in qualifying that I might have to discuss another time with you.

Re: cam profiles for M20
You may be surprised what i am putting together.
just got new engine (done 60,000 miles) will replace all shell bearings and rings.
Then DTA full management system and looking at Jeney 45 throttle pots. The DTA system comes with all the software for remapping.
That will do away with the distributor system on the end of the cam and use a 6 coil pack for individual sparks.
Now with the cam that should be good.

Re: cam profiles for M20
That sounds like a decent set up Karl, I take it that you're going into either Class C with the 325 or Class B with the M3?
The DTA system is supposedly as good as Motec and depending on regs there might be a chance that I can run my M3 in Class B with a standard 3.0 and 15" wheels. Don't really want to go into Class A as there are alot of fast and experienced racers in there and I'll have to upgrade to a 3.2 and use DTA or similar and a host of other goodies just to be close on power and that means big bucks.

Re: cam profiles for M20
Got the 288/288 cam today.
I have been looking a Motec and undecided what to do. When you add up all the bits they are very similar in cost. I will have to do more research first.
But decided on the Jenvey throttle bodies.
I did not get the M3 afterwards - I had a long think about what you said and to be honest - I have got a lot to learn first AND my 325 is very close to being finished. It is also MUCH cheaper to maintain.

Re: cam profiles for M20
I'm good at giving advice but ****e at following it myself!
The 325 battle next year is going to be very interesting with some fast cars about. I might venture out in the E30 for the 1st races as well if I can't secure a driver for her

Re: cam profiles for M20
Karl, have a look at the Emerald ECU as it's a lot cheaper than DTA or Motec.

I don't think it will run separate coil's but unless your going for very high rev's and/or compression ratio than you won't gain any thing from separate coil's except for a bigger bill.
