Re: no grip in the wet pleeease help
I am not sure if I understand the post but here goes
Silverstone is a very interesting circuit BUT at this time of year is quite daunting for the first timer. The track just will not dry out as it is too cold. It may have been 'dry' but no so.
The E30 is a problem to control the back end anyway and as a novice it may feel good but it is not ideal to spin the car.
My advice is look at the tyres and the driving technique. When I was at Silverstone at end of Nov many a car came off the track, even exotic sports cars, because of track conditions.

sorry im still knackered from last night what i meant to say is that even the instructor said it wasnt right as before it rained it really stuck none of the 3 instructors could get the back end out around the corners but in the wet it just didnt grip at all they asked me if i had hit something which could have effected it but i hadnt not complaining and i know i hav alot to learn i just want to set the car up properly i.e. i could feel the front tyres sliding. as for the drifting event im well up for that karan only thing is i dont hav an lsd and my car isnt that powerful is it possible for me to get the car sideways ALWAYS wanted to hav a go

Stripping is the way to go, the lighter it is the less power you'll need.#

Can't understand how they couldn't get the back end out in the dry, it's not very hard in an E30, have you got non adjustable aftermarket shocks like Bilsteins? Alot of them are set very hard and you need a soft set up in the wet and could explain the rear being twitchy

Re: no grip in the wet pleeease help
my suspensioon set up comprises of worn out bushes and old shocks but hey gotta start somewhere but seriously i want it to be top notch going to order new bushes all round the bloke was going on about fitting m3 bushes is that good or... want the car to be really tight before i look to increase the power. also any idea yet of a price on the group buy rollcage cant wait to get it in my car with bucket seats n harnesses my girlfriends going to hate it lol. one more thing went to my local breaker for a lsd he said i should buy a sports gearbox as well (£100) is it worth doing also ooffered me an old 6 branch manifold for £200 and a mint 325 engine for £300 dont mind spending money just dont want to have to spend it twice ok thanks
