first pics of my 318is!!! ok... aint never done this before... but i took some pics of me car me phone... so there not amazing pics... but i jsut relly wanted to put some up coz everyone else got there car up on here.
Re: first pics of my 318is!!! well i got the car off my brother... who had it for about 3 years himself... he has done a lot of work on it... i think he has a recon engine in there. mainly engine work done on it... but nothin to make it faster... just getting it back to its condition. and now i have the car to do what i want with. but nothin stupid. wanna keep it kinda standard.
Any ideas on what the main preformancin gaining mods for teh 18is are?
i got a stainless steel exhaust on there... but i think i need a better one.
could do with a chip as well.
also really annoyin thing about it... dont know if this is just me... but the first gear on this car... is really short... just find it maxin out way to quickly. maybe its just me.
Reason i was sold this is because bro just bought a 325i sport... so will be putting pics up of that as well soon.
Re: first pics of my 318is!!! I think first gear is short because peak performance on iS`s is from mid range in the revs,about 3k upwards rather than low range revs,but i may be talking ****e here,just a guess!
I know mine seems to come to life from around 3K upwards.
I think there may be a chip available through Ant on the other Zone but i wouldnt know the benefits of it.
I think E30MARK has one in his 318is so might be worth chatting to him.
Also Tim-s on the other Zone seems to know his stuff with the M42 so he may also be able to give you some good advice/tips!
