Re: Drift Pics from Air strip today (Karans Wheels too) sorry didn't get more time to chat, but wit changin wheels so much i was a bit busy, oh and the nissan over heating.
The surface there is a bit hard on tyres. its ok in the wet. Me and terry said it would be best to get some water down for the next 1 and he's gonna look into gettin a bowser to spray water all day.
There's also talk of a prepared drift trace made out of tarmac.
i'll get the piccys of the tyres off me phone in a bit and post em up.
tourer held up well. thought at least the diff would go bang. i been rinsin the tits off the last few weeks.

Re: Drift Pics from Air strip today (Karans Wheels too) nah wasn't there unfortunately (some of us gotta go to work!!!) i just hijacked this post slightly. karan my 528i wasn't too good for powersliding, no lsd. the steering on all e28 is worm and roller which is a bit slow and little feel. although the m535i/m5 is a quicker steering box. the blue car is the best sliding car i've had, lower and stiffer than the 528i and with standard lsd and plenty torque.
i bet that m5 is amazing to powerslide, take it it has an lsd?
Re: Drift Pics from Air strip today (Karans Wheels too) it does yeh
ive had the back out at 90mph in 3rd in the wet
and it never felt scary like an e30 would
Re: Drift Pics from Air strip today (Karans Wheels too) don't mind the look of the later 3.8 m5 but it's a different sort of car to an e30.
my 335 stepped the back out a while back, on a slight bend in a dual carrigeway on a 4th-5th gearchange, and it gave me a bit of a scare! the gearing isn't high but will still do 100 or so in 4th. bought an lsd for it after that!
