M20 (320 & 325) Intake Manifold for Throttle Bodies or Carbs

I have been speaking to the guy who can supply intake manifolds for the E30 325 and 320 (M20) engine so that throttle bodies or carbs can be fitted. Nobody mass produces them for this engine other than one offs and the last two he had in stock have just been bought (by guys from the zone!) and he is prepared to source a suitable foundry to have new ones made from the pattern he holds. Essentially I need four more orders for these manifolds before we can have them made up, so please post you interest here.

They are ideal for 40s or 45s, but I've been advised to go for 45s rather than 40s on the 325.

I think we're talking about somewhere in the region of £300 but I think we will be able to work something out.

The gains come from the use of throttle bodies or carbs mounted to this manifold... you can't fit them directly to the head. Gains are pretty big, and I'd guess somewhere in the region of 15 to 20bhp, but maybe a little more with the right mods to go with it. The 325 front runners in the Kumho series are running carbs or throttle bodies and are therefore also using this manifold.

Not too sure if it's a one piece or set of three doubles, but it's something like this but with six inlets! (obviously!)

£300, 20bhp potential... sounds good mated to a 284 cam, chip and massive thru zorst. emoticon

It's a set of 3 doubles Paul.

Not too sure about the technology behind TB's, jenvey or Weber are the main ones to go for. They add about 30bhp but cost alot as you also need a stand alone ECU I believe. The Carbs offer a little less but are alot cheaper and are much easier to get hold of.

These Manifolds are REALLY hard to come by so get them while you can. emoticon

I would be interested for a future mod (as Topwelshman says the manifolds are hard to come by!). Drop me a line if this is still a goer.
