i am thinking its the hu. i think you have a similiar problem with what i had.

you might want to try out a different hu.

one day after i reinstalled my stuff, the voltage on my dmm barely got up to 20v. that was with the gain all the way up to. after i changed the hu, everything was fine.

I'll hook up my old alpine and find out. Is there a way to test the preouts on the h/u?

I swapped the h/u today. and it got a little louder but not much. Last time, I forgot to measure the voltage at the amp with the music on. It was dropping low. like low 11's. My alt will be back from Iraggi on friday. I'll change that out and see what happens.

I forgot to mention, it did start cutting out again with the other h/u. Is it my electrical or my amp?

Ok, I got my iraggi alt back and installed it. My voltage is staying up at 14.09 at idle. and it still does it. Do I need a battery that charges faster? I just have a regular ol' battery right now. Am I clipping the h/u? I'm not sure if i'm clipping the h/u cause only the subs cut out. Think I should try a different pair of rca's?

I dont know who but someone told me to try new RCAs when my amp was ****in up. I havent tried it yet but that would be somethin to try
