could a new battery fix voltage drops alright im running 2500 wrms of power and i only have a stock battery up front. i have a 200 amp iraggi alternator and my voltage drops from 13 to 10-11 and my lights dim horribly. if i got a new kinetik hc1800 up front and a hc2000 or 2400 for the back do you think it would take care of the voltage drop problem?
Re: could a new battery fix voltage drops yeah that will help but here is the thing, your voltage will still drop down to 12v but it shouldnt go lower then that because of the batteries reserve. your lights will still dim because their is a voltage drop but if it doesnt go to low it wont hurt anything.
Re: could a new battery fix voltage drops well my system drops down to like 11 volts so that is pretty bad right. also what could i do to fix the dimming?? i thought if i had a battery in the back then my started battery wouldnt be affected when the bass hit. im not really sure what i can do cuz everytime the bass hits at night it looks like my lights turn off or something. that can be to good.
Re: could a new battery fix voltage drops really you dont want to go lower then 12v another battery should defiantly help. although your lights will still dim a little. unless you isolate the front and rear then they will both act togather and act as a bigger reserve for when the amp needs power.
