this is hard...

 :war: :war: :war:

im trying to design my friends box for four 12" tc9 750rms subs but im lost...

since there is 4, should i make the box 8 or 10 cu ft. is that 8 or 10 including the sub and port displacement?

im lost... i did use the port calculator chad gave me, but do i just use the "Calculate Your Vent Length" section?

here: http://www.carstereo.com/help/Articles.cfm?id=31

Yeah, you need 8-10 before displacement...

well, there are two parts to the link i gave above, but only in the top part does it ask how many drivers im using...

also, when im doing the bottom part, it says enter the internal enclosure volume...

i can come up with a very close internal volume but can i just put 8 there for 8 cuft tuned to whatever?

what about this, the box is 16tallx40widex28deep. subs up, port in the middle facing back, tuned to 32 hz.

the total gross amount of the box is 10.37 cu ft.

the calculator says a port 13.75tallx8widex23.53deep will give that box a tuning of 32hz.

that is the desired height and width i want the port, but is the length of 23.53 right for this size?

i have had no responses on ecoustics... :war:

this really shouldnt be hard for people who know what they are doing...

i have a big rectangle of a box for four speakers, is this the right size port for them???

anyway, with these deminsions: 16tall x 40wide x 28deep, there is an internal volume amount of 8.11 cu ft.

i came up with a port, 13.75tall x 8wide x 23.5deep for a tuning of 32hz.

but i didnt enter how many subs or what size or anything...

is that box, with that port, going to be correct tuning for four 12"s?

these subs remind me of a beefy AA assassin...

the whole top of the box is double baffle, incase anyone needs to know...
