Box for 12" TC-3000/LA storm

Looking for recommendations for a box for a 12" TC-3000 or LA storm. I currently have in a 2.6cf box tuned to ~30hz with a 32.5sq inch slot port. I'm throwing 1200w at it (AQ1200D) in the trunk of a 98-02 body grand prix, sub up port back. I'm looking for a really flat, clean response. I was thinking about 2-2.25cf tuned around 30-32hz with about ~28sq inch slot port. Any thoughts?

Any responses are greatly appreciated. emoticon

Any reason you did sub up, port back? I doubt that is the cause but I'm just curious as to why you did that than the typical sub and port back in a trunk. If this sub truely is like the RL-S like I've read, then it will not be too strong in the "upper" frequencies.

I'd say stick with the box you have now until you get your EQ installed. If you still don't like the response, try a new box. A sealed box is something to consider as well.

Btw, I'm basing my post of what I read in your thread on E.

The box I used was an old 15" box that I chopped up, and the only way to make it fit was sub up.

I've just seen alot of people running small boxes like 1.75-2.25cf, and it just makes me wonder what it would sound like. I guess there's only one way to find out lol. But I am going to wait until I get my EQ and component amp installed, then go from there.
