Wow. I read through some of that. He's certainly not firing on all 8 cylinders. He'll do it again in a year when the next batch of noobs move into town. He'll post pics, wow them, all take them for what they're worth. Sad really.

Hey I like the new posticon. I have many to share myself. Tell me where/who to send them to and see if any are worth putting up. emoticon

i just can't believe stuff like that is happening.

phil you know what you should do? you should invest in a tl mic. that way after you build some boxes for people, you can meter their car. well for the local customers that is. then take a vid of it and upload it for people to see. i bet you will get more customers and more respect.

I did consider awhile back making the investment for a TL meter, but, it wouldn't make must sense to do because that would require me to spend even more money to buy the subs for the enclosure designed for them.

I can't see spending money for something that would get used once and then trying to sell it for less than what I spent to get it.

All that would do is waste resources to be better spent operating and maintaining my business and end up with less money and then I end up in situation similar to Mark Potts and I don't intend even let that happen.

Granted, yes, having a TL meter would be a valuable resource to have to meter the performance of the enclosure to gain valuable info to improve design/subwoofer performance for enclosure design applications and show that with pic's/vid's.

I guess if I did have TL meter, I could use that for metering folks boxes that wanted to know what there setup is hitting, but, then that would cut into taking care of customer orders and I don't need the hassles of folks just hitting me up wanting to stop by and having that sh!t done.

Now, if subwoofer companies want to donate their subs to me for such purposes, no strings attached, then yeah, I shell out the bucks for a TL meter.

very good point phil.

but i was thinking if you had many customers that pick up the box from you. when they come to pick it up don't you sometimes help them install it in there ride? if you do then you can quickly meter the car and take a vid of it.

but if your customers just come to pick up the box then you are right, there is no point in you doing that.
